E.J. Warner, after spending two seasons as a signal-caller for the Temple Owls, has chosen to enter transfer portal.
This move came after Fran Brown, former defensive backs coach of the Georgia Bulldogs, was named the 31st head coach of the Syracuse Orange football program.
Brown, a native of Camden, New Jersey, had spent time with the Temple Owls twice and was hired by Syracuse University in part because of his northeast ties.
With senior quarterback Garrett Shrader finishing his final season with the Orange here in 2023, Syracuse is in need of a quarterback, so looking to Warner who has spent two seasons in the northeast can be an option.
E.J., the son of National Football League (NFL) quarterback and Super Bowl Champion, threw for 3,028 yards with 18 touchdowns and 12 interceptions and a 60.5% completion percentage (268-for-443) in 2022, followed by 3,076 yards with 23 touchdowns and 12 interceptions and a 57.5% completion percentage (256-for-445).
