On an early afternoon at the beginning of March, the Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball program opened their doors for their final regular-season home game of the 2024-25 season, with the UMass-Lowell River Hawks coming to Upstate New York.

Binghamton entered in seventh place in the America East Conference (AEC).

UMass-Lowell came in as the sole holder of last place in the conference.

The first basket from either side came more than two minutes into the first quarter, inside by Rayne Durant of UMass-Lowell to give them the initial lead of the game, at 2-0.

Binghamton responded with their first bucket of the day, also inside, by Yanniah Boyd.

Jadyn Weltz, the lone member of the Bearcats celebrating "Senior Day", drove inside to the left and gave the Bearcats their first lead on a layup that made it 4-2. Weltz, though being honored as a senior academically, does have more eligibility, with this being her redshirt-junior season.

The teams would tie again at 4-4 and 6-6 before Binghamton attained the lead thanks to two free throws by Leah Middleton at the 2:11 mark. They would hold onto the lead through the remainder of the first quarter, ending the first 10 minutes ahead 15-9.

In this first quarter, the Bearcats shot 41.7% (5-for-12) from the field, to 30.8% by the River Hawks (4-for-13).

Binghamton out-rebounded UMass-Lowell 11 to six, with the Bearcats grabbing the only offensive rebounds of the first quarter, with two.

The first double-digit lead of the day came on a layup by Bella Pucci off of a great read by Meghan Casey that gave Pucci a look right at the rim to elevate the Bearcats up to a 26-16 advantage.

Pucci would score all six of her first-half points in the second quarter. Middleton would equal that point total in the second quarter, finishing with eight overall in the first half.

At the break, Binghamton led 33-20.

A three by Pucci in the third quarter would push the Bearcats past 40 points, and give them a 14-point advantage, at 42-28.

Pucci would be a part of the next two field goals, the first being from her from inside the arc, which gave her double-figures in scoring in this game (11 at the 5:11 mark) and the next coming off of her assist that Kendall Bennett finished at the rim for a 46-28 lead.

A three by Pucci... have you heard that before?... came right before the end of the third quarter, giving Binghamton a 19-point lead, 54-35.

The Bearcats outscored the River Hawks 21 to 15 in the third quarter.

With a layup at the 8:44 mark of the fourth quarter, Weltz achieved double-digits in scoring (11 points) on her "Senior Day".

Middleton's old-fashioned three-point play at the 4:44 mark got her to double-figures, with 11 points on the day.

A three by Weltz beat the shot clock and rose Binghamton up to a 32-point lead, 70-38, with 2:01 to go.

She came off of the floor with 1:16 to play in the game after amounting 19 points on 7-for-13 shooting (1-for-3 from deep) and a 4-for-7 performance at the charity stripe, to go with three rebounds (all defensive), two assists, two steals, three turnovers, and one personal foul in 27 minutes of play.

The Bearcats would outscore the River Hawks 18-7 in the fourth quarter en route to a 30-point victory, 72-42.
