Battle for the Interstate: LeMoyne vs. Binghamton

LeMoyne College realigning from NCAA Division II to Division I comes with the exciting opportunities of creating new rivalries among their sports with fellow New York State schools.

The first of these opportunities will be called the "Battle for the Interstate", which features the LeMoyne Dolphins and the Binghamton Bearcats squaring off on the basketball court for a home-and-home series.

LeMoyne will travel to Binghamton, New York, on Saturday, December 9th, for the inaugural game in this rivalry, with Binghamton heading to Syracuse, New York, in the 2024-25 season.

The Victor of this opening game to the series will receive a New York State-shaped "Battle for the Interstate" trophy.

Despite this being LeMoyne's first season as a Division I program, the Dolphins have seen the Bearcats on the court five times in their history from 1997-2000, taking the slight edge of three wins to two. Their last meeting happened in November 2000, a 91-70 victory by Binghamton.
