While appearing on "Wake Up Call with Dan Tortora", LeMoyne Dolphins Athletics Director Bob Beretta provided an update on the "Battle for the Interstate" Series.
This series between the LeMoyne Dolphins and Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball teams was originally stated as being a home-and-home series, where LeMoyne travels to Binghamton in the 2023-24 season and Binghamton comes to LeMoyne in the 2024-25 season.
Beretta stated to me that this budding rivalry is set to have at least four games over the next four years, with LeMoyne and Binghamton visiting one another once each over the 2025-26 and 2026-27 seasons.
He also shared with me that having a four-year agreement between the Dolphins and Bearcats is not finite and that this series could be extended as LeMoyne looks to create meaningful match-ups in their non-conference play in years to come.
