Rickie Collins, Jr., is with the Syracuse Orange in San Diego, California, and practicing with his new team, the Orange, according to my sources close to the situation.
The Orange flew to San Diego today, December 23, and have Collins onsite with them for practice as the squad gets ready for the 2024 DIRECTV Holiday Bowl, which will be played against the Washington State Cougars on Friday, December 27, at 8pm ET (5pm PT).
Collins, a quarterback, agreed to join Syracuse after leaving the LSU Tigers, entering the transfer portal, and then visiting Syracuse University.
Collins played minimal time at LSU, going 2-for-2 for three yards playing in one game in the 2023-24 season and 5-for-5 for 35 yards over three games this current season.
With last season (2023-24) being used as Collins' redshirt year, he comes to Syracuse with three years of eligibility remaining.
