After two seasons with the Syracuse Orange men's basketball program, guard Justin Taylor has decided to leave for the NCAA transfer portal, with an opportunity to spend his final two seasons of eligibility elsewhere.
Taylor came to the Orange after playing high school ball at St. Anne's-Belfield in his hometown of Charlottesville, Virginia, and then at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
He played in 29 games as a true freshman, starting two of those contests, and followed by playing in and starting in every one of the 32 games Syracuse played in this past season.
Over his two collegiate seasons, Taylor played in approximately half of a game on average (20.1 minutes per game), shooting 36.4% from the field, including 34% from beyond the arc, along with going 69.2% from the charity stripe. He averaged 4.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.2 blocks, 0.6 turnovers, and one personal foul per game.
