The Syracuse Orange (4-4) and the Albany Great Danes (6-4) met on a cool night in Central New York for just their third men's basketball contest ever when they faced off here in December.
Syracuse won the only other two match-ups, 75-43 on November 9, 2009, and 98-74 on November 15, 2011, with both of these games also being played at the Dome in Syracuse, New York.
There were four lead changes and three times in the first half before Syracuse held on from the 11:28 mark to halftime.
The Orange led the Great Danes 47-34 at the break.
Syracuse's largest lead was 24 points, 66-42.
But, with exactly five minutes to play in the game, Albany had made it interesting, getting within 11, down 82-71.
Syracuse would elevate to three digits, winning 102-85, improving to 5-4, with all five of their wins coming at home in the Dome, while Albany moved to 6-5 overall, 1-4 on the road.
